John Roth Symposium Postponed

The October 15-16, 2021 John Roth Symposium is postponed.  [** UPDATE: Rescheduled for November 4th, 2022 **]

‘For the Love of Bacterial Genetics’, a symposium to celebrate the lifetime of achievements of
Professor John Roth has been postponed due to the recent developments of the COVID19-
SARS2 pandemic.

We considered various options including a hybrid or virtual event but felt that this event should
be in person to be enjoyed by everybody without hesitation and anxiety. In addition, the
international situation would have all but excluded participation from outside the US.

So we ask for your patience again in postponing the symposium to a later date to be determined
but likely in the fall of 2022. We dearly hope that by then COVID19 is truly history that we can
enjoy each other’s company and celebrate John.
